Equal Justice or Social Justice

In Arizona the people have had enough! With an overwhelming majority of support, 70%, the Arizona Legislature and current Governor Jan Brewer have made a very bold statement regarding illegal immigration. Beginning this week illegal immigrants will be arrested and deported back to their homeland, failure to prove American citizenship will result in a "free" trip home for thousands.

Some are trying to play the race card, totally ignoring the fact that this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the enforcement of law. A law that the Federal government is supposed to be enforcing, I might add.

What has led the state of Arizona to this point? The simple fact that the Federal Government has abdicated it's duty to protect and defend the borders of the state from invasion as well as failure to enforce immigration laws, has left the state with no other choice.

The situation in Arizona has turned into a crisis and due to the failures of Washington, someone had to step up to the plate and address the issue head on, enter current Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. Amidst, threats of boycotts from San Francisco and some organizational groups, the Governor has stood firm in her decision to attack the problem at the state and local level. In addition to the threats of boycotts, Al Sharpton has vowed to march in protest of the heinous actions. The President is likewise playing the race card and recently sent out a call to his coalition of "young people, African-Americans, Latinos, and women who powered our victory in 2008 [to] stand together once again." It appears that the President is always willing to take advantage of a crisis, interestingly enough, his rally cry left out several other demographics of society, but I am sure that he just "mis"spoke.

In all actuality what is happening here is nothing more than pandering on the part of the President. He is siding with law breakers, plain and simple, in an attempt to gain their political support. Because, if his amnesty reform passes congress, these folks will be voting in 2012. Furthermore, it is the solemn duty of the President of the United States to enforce the law of the land, not make exceptions when the law is broken.

As far as Al Sharpton goes, who the heck cares what Al Sharpton thinks? Sharpton will be isolating his base if he "marches on Phoenix." Think about it, how many African Americans are without jobs because of illegal immigrants? The number of estimated jobs held by illegal immigrants are 8 million, how many African Americans are adversely affected by these numbers?

Finally, there is a lesson that all Americans can learn from what is happening in Arizona. The difference between social justice and equal justice. Two things that every American should pay close attention to.

Our President is practicing "Social Justice," arguing that the law doesn't apply due to the special circumstances of those involved, this is the fundamentally flawed error of Social Justice, no respect for the law. This is the approach that Marx would have taken.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer on the other hand is practicing "Equal Justice," she is applying the law and enforcing the law, remembering all the while that Justice is blind to the circumstances. This is the approach that our founding fathers would have endorsed.

Angry America!

Things are bad in America and they are gradually getting worse. The unemployment rate is approaching 10%, banks are falling flat on their face and the Federal Government is spending money like there is no tomorrow. The mainstream media is in bed with the government and honest law abiding citizens are being portrayed as racist, extremist, hate mongering radicals. The Presidents approval rating is now at 38% and Congress continues to thumb it's nose at the American people, things are bad in America!

In the 1976 movie, Network, a fictional character named Howard Beale delivered one of films all time great speeches. The speech commonly referred to as the "I'm Mad as Hell," speech turned actor Peter Finch into a film icon and a cult phenomenon. Although, Finch died prior to receiving the Best Actor award in 1976, his words still echo true today.

With an increase in the size of the Federal Government, the once silent majority is being awakened from it's slumber. Americans from all over the country are expressing their outrage and dissatisfaction with an out of control congress, a President of unbridled arrogance and a phony two party system that has left our once proud country in economic ruin. Just like Howard Beale, America is starting to get mad, very mad!

With the click of a remote the mainstream media portrays political dissent as extremism, racism, hate mongering, exterminating, homophobic, violent and seditious. The print media declares that we are "All Socialist Now," but when the President is confronted with the question it is laughed at and scoffed at as nothing more than a right wing "attack." The media that used to be against the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, now turn a blind eye to the fact that "their" candidate is doing the same thing as his predecessor. Throughout the nation our children are being indoctrinated into the Presidents cult of personality. Our school systems are subjecting students to propaganda in hopes that it will further the progressive agenda ie (An Inconvenient Truth, The Story of Stuff). A runaway Congress openly defies the will of the American people in passing Obamacare, which will force Americans to buy a product, while at the same time adding nearly 3 trillion dollars MORE to the U.S. debt. When will the insanity end?

The insanity will end when the American people follow the advice of Howard Beale.

Consider this a call to action!

"So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,

"I'm as mad as hell,

and I'm not going to take this anymore!!" "

Dont Tread on Me!

According to the government controlled and influenced media, the Tea Party movement is nothing more than a group of radical, racists, homophobic extremist. Once again, they are wrong, totally wrong!

What can be described as nothing more than a de-centralized grass roots movement, the Tea Party movement is gaining ground by leaps and bounds. The movement, despite the fact that is does not have a central leader or headquarters, is the definition of what it means to be American. Throughout the country, citizens are uniting in communities and neighborhoods for a common cause, limited government, defense of the Constitution and fiscal responsibility. Although, each group has it's unique goal and agenda, the common thread is simple........defense of the Constitution!

In a recent attempt to bring some unity to the movement a Houston based tea-party activist, named Ryan Hecker, has created a website which includes a Contract From America. With nearly 500,000 votes recorded in less than two months, this Contract forms a blueprint of tea-party policy goals and beliefs.

The basic points covered in the Contract are as follows:


1. Protect the Constitution
Require each bill to identify the specific provision of the Constitution that gives Congress the power to do what the bill does. (82.03%)

2. Reject Cap & Trade
Stop costly new regulations that would increase unemployment, raise consumer prices, and weaken the nation’s global competitiveness with virtually no impact on global temperatures. (72.20%)

3. Demand a Balanced Budget
Begin the Constitutional amendment process to require a balanced budget with a two-thirds majority needed for any tax hike. (69.69%)

4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
Adopt a simple and fair single-rate tax system by scrapping the internal revenue code and replacing it with one that is no longer than 4,543 words—the length of the original Constitution. (64.90%)

5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington
Create a Blue Ribbon task force that engages in a complete audit of federal agencies and programs, assessing their Constitutionality, and identifying duplication, waste, ineffectiveness, and agencies and programs better left for the states or local authorities, or ripe for wholesale reform or elimination due to our efforts to restore limited government consistent with the US Constitution’s meaning. (63.37%)

6. End Runaway Government Spending
Impose a statutory cap limiting the annual growth in total federal spending to the sum of the inflation rate plus the percentage of population growth. (56.57%)

7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care
Defund, repeal and replace the recently passed government-run health care with a system that actually makes health care and insurance more affordable by enabling a competitive, open, and transparent free-market health care and health insurance system that isn’t restricted by state boundaries. (56.39%)

8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy
Authorize the exploration of proven energy reserves to reduce our dependence on foreign energy sources from unstable countries and reduce regulatory barriers to all other forms of energy creation, lowering prices and creating competition and jobs. (55.51%)

9. Stop the Pork
Place a moratorium on all earmarks until the budget is balanced, and then require a 2/3 majority to pass any earmark. (55.47%)

10. Stop the Tax Hikes
Permanently repeal all tax hikes, including those to the income, capital gains, and death taxes, currently scheduled to begin in 2011. (53.38%)

One of the more interesting notes about the 10 points is that five (5) of these points mentions the Constitution or the Constitutionality of actions taken by the federal government. The thing that makes this so interesting is that it re-enforces the fact that the Tea Party movement is calling for a return to Constitutional values. This is further evidence that the American people are self educating themselves and are becoming more and more aware of our often subdued history. This is indeed a pleasant revelation and it appears to be a growing trend. It has often been said that the ignorance of the American people regarding the Constitution, our history, and the operations of government is what led to the corruption that now cripples our nation. If this rebirth or return to our founding principles continues, we could be witnessing a paradigm shift of revolutionary proportions. This revolution, however, will be different.

Unlike our Founding Fathers, we have in place a system that will enable us to bring about non-violent revolutionary change. The very system in which they created can be used to reel in our out of control government, remove corruption and restore integrity to our public offices. This however, will not come without sacrifice and determination.

In the coming weeks, months and years, attempts will be made to discredit the Tea Party movement, infiltrators will go above and beyond their power to tarnish the good name of real activism. The Tea Party movement must not succumb to the tactics of the Alinsky model but rather confront the opposition with the voice of TRUTH.

In order to maintain a united front it will remain a necessary fact, that we must continue to "educate and inform the whole mass of the people."

Is President Obama a socialist?

I suppose the argument could heavily be made to suggest that he is indeed a socialist, however I prefer the term National Socialist, because I find it to be more descriptive. In the past 18 years the American people have been treated to a left/right spiel that has essentially left us with no alternative. The corporatist activities of President Obama are now being contested heavily by the Republicans, while they seemingly turn a blind eye to the same type of activity that happened during the Bush administration. There is no such thing as a two party system in America, both left and right are LEFT!


In the past 2 decades we have witnessed what could aptly be called the marriage of big business and government. Whether it be the government takeover of health care by President Obama, corporate bailouts by the Bush administration, the Clinton attack on Big Tobacco or foreign wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the signs of National Socialism are all around us. Why is it that people just can't give up on the party loyalty issue?

To say that most conservatives are outraged at the rapid growth of government under the Obama administration, would be a huge understatement. However, while the police state grew under the Bush administration and corporate handouts increased, these same conservatives were not to be found. Likewise, when Bush was fighting a war in two countries and bailing out corporate banks, the left ridiculed, protested and vehemently denounced the practice. Today, they have turned a blind eye to the same National Socialist practices of their beloved Barrack Obama. Unfortunately, for America, this dog chasing it's tail episode, is exactly what both political parties want. The time has come to set party loyalty aside and do what is best for America before it is too late.

Today we live in a death culture that is being controlled by the corporate elite, Washington is like a puppet on a string and state sovereignty has all but faded away without a whimper. It is no longer Republican vs Democrat but rather us, the people, vs them, the political machine. Until the rise of the National Socialist is thwarted, the citizens of this country will continue the march to corporate slavery. The solution?

Educating and informing the populace to move and act in a civil non-violent manner to bring about rapid change and accountability not only within our government but in our homes, communities, minds and hearts. If "We the People," really want to secure change and thwart the rise of National Socialism the change must start at with the individual and trickle up to the government.

By the way a more alternative name for National Socialist is FASCISM!

The Great"est" Depression!

Bread lines, sky high unemployment, falling stocks, excessive debt, foreclosures, bankruptcy, homelessness, food rationing, civil unrest, could this be the future of America?

According to the latest Fox News poll, 79 percent of U.S. voters believe "it’s possible the nation’s economy could collapse", and the poll found that this belief in the fragility of the American economy cuts across the entire political spectrum.

Lets take a look at the current economic situation and consider some rather interesting yet disturbing facts and trends.

In November of last year congress rammed the T.A.R.P. bailout through, citing a state of emergency. A few months later President Obama proposed and convinced congress to pass a stimulus package, that was designed to "reduce our pain". These corporate bailouts, appear to have slowed down the bleeding, but then again a tourniquet is only a temporary fix when one is hemorrhaging.

Lets' face it, the United States is in debt so far that the present system is unsustainable. Presently the U.S. is in debt more than 12 Trillion dollars, however in all actuality the number is much, much, much higher. The U.S. National Debt Clock allows you to view the debt in real time.



How did this happen? By permitting Shadow Banks to engage in massive borrowing, along with unstable funding and over investments the U.S. economy has been on a path toward failure since the early 1970's. A combination of increased dependency on the government welfare system, unsustainable pension promises, an ongoing war in two countries and the use of fiat money has put the U.S. on a collision course with the "D" word! The only way to prevent this disaster from happening in the past few months, was to implement a temporary fix , ie (the bailouts mentioned above.) Unfortunately, the quick fix, is about as useful as putting a band-aid on a severed limb. It just won't work!

Much like the symptoms of a cold, the American economy is starting to cough and sneeze, it is important to note that treating the symptoms of an ailment never actually cures the ailment. It does however provide temporary relief. The bailouts therefore, have done nothing to treat the actual problem just reduce the symptoms, albeit temporarily.

So, here we are experiencing a global recession. The trade deficit continues to increase and social security and Medicare are over 60 trillion in unfunded liabilities. To add more fuel to the flame consider the fact that state revenues are down, taxes and debt spending is up and the national unemployment rate is sitting at 9.7%. These numbers alone are enough to raise eyebrows, but they only represent a small fraction of the problems facing our economy.

One of the more alarming facts is the recent discussion of the possibility that Moody's is considering removing Americas AAA status, if this happens it will lead to an increase in interest rates imposed on government borrowing which in turn will be passed onto consumers. This only makes things worse for current home owners and it tips the scales against the 5.1% of new mortgage holders who are 90 days or more late on home loans. If America's AAA status is reduced, the 24% of home loans that were underwater in 2009 will look good compared to what is about to happen. Another important consideration for homeowners is that during 2010, the adjustable rate mortgages will be reset and more than likely the interest rates will increase even more.


Finally, look take a look at what is going on presently in our country. Every dollar that comes into existence enters the economy as DEBT. It is estimated that our government will borrow more money than all of the governments in the world, COMBINED, in 2010. This along with the impending trillion dollar debt of Obama Care thrown into the mix, should provide just enough water to sink the ship!

Whether the U.S. plunges into a second Depression or not is yet to be seen. It is important to note, that if such a collapse takes place, it most assuredly will be worse than the 1930's. Why? There are several factors to take into consideration but in a nut shell, the amount of debt our country has accrued is staggering in size when compared to that of the 1930's. Nations will not be willing nor able to forgive the massive amount of debt owed to them. The possibility of government assistance with such debt, similar to what happened with Roosevelt's New Deal, will be near to impossible using Fiat money, after all who in their right mind would be willing to honor a hyper inflated worthless piece of paper?

The only logical solution to the problem would be the return to the Gold or Silver standard, accompanied by a huge decrease in taxes and a major overhaul in government spending. Even then, it could take years or even decades to recover from such a disastrous collapse. However, there is another alternative, that appears to be more realistic,............ total government!

Due to the fact that so many Americans are dependent on government entitlements, whether it be welfare subsidies, pension programs, social security or health care, sacrifices will have to be made. Is the American public prepared to see the end of the Welfare State? Are we prepared to cut spending, start saving, and become less dependent on government, or will we follow the path of the Weimar Republic and sacrifice our liberty and freedom for a promise of false hope?

I contend that the American people would prefer the former, but there are some leaders in Washington who dream of the latter!
