Progressives Attack Tebow Ad

During halftime of this years Super Bowl, CBS will air a commercial sponsored by Focus on the Family. The non-profit organization has solicited the use of Tim Tebow, University of Florida Quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, in the production of the advertisement. A variety of progressive organizations are trying to prevent the ad from ever showing on t.v. Why?

The ad, which is aptly considered a pro-life ad, tells the story of Bob and Tam Tebow who were told that their son would be stillborn. The Tebow's elected to ignore doctors recommendations and prayerfully decided to have the child. The rest as they say is history, their son, Tim Tebow went on to win the Heisman Trophy in 2007 and led his team to the 2006 National Championship.

Progressive women's groups are now lobbying CBS to remove the ad from television. A variety of pro-choice groups are arguing that the ad is divisive and that it has no place on national television. These attacks led by groups such as NOW (the National Organization of Women), The Women's Media Center and the Feminist Majority reveal the bully mentality of modern progressive groups and it exposes the hypocrisy of their so called "tolerance" campaigns.

These attacks are not limited to women's organizations, several sports columnist as well as an ESPN draft analyst have engaged in the attack on Tebow and his family. These attacks are being lobbied by groups that profess and encourage the need for "tolerance," yet all the while they refuse to tolerate anything other than their own agenda. The very fact that these progressive organizations are attacking someone for their decision to bring a child into this world is a clear indicator of the Godless, heartless, immoral, selfish agenda that is progressivism. Has our society fallen so far that we cannot accept nor tolerate the sanctity of life? When did the triumph of human achievement and the love of a mother for her child become a message "that divides rather than unites?" (Jemhu Greene President of the Women's Media Center)

The simple fact of the matter is that modern progressive groups, such as NOW and the Feminist Majority, are not in the business of advocating for women's rights, they are in the business of using women. By using women's rights as an issue, these groups use their supporters to further promote their real agenda, the destruction of the family unit and the advancement of progressivism and eugenics. It is rather interesting that a women's organization would criticize and condemn a women for making an empowering decision when that same organization constantly refers to the necessity of being able to make your own "choice." The hypocrisy of the modern progressive is once again exposed.

I am thoroughly convinced that an overwhelming majority of Americans know and understand the immoral position of the arguments imposed by the modern progressives. I have too much faith in the American people, to believe that they will continue to remain silent while the immoral minority continues to attack the time honored values and principles of our ancestors. A giant is being stirred up throughout the land and the message should be loud and clear......

Economic Meltdown!

What is going on with the economy? The White House claims that the stimulus package saved the day and the mainstream media insists that this is just a "recession." Something, however just doesn't add up.

Consider these facts.

1. 1.41 Million Americans filed for bankruptcy in 2009, a 32 percent increase from 2008!

2. The unemployment rate is at 10.2%, and the federal government continues to ignore the underemployed and the fact that over 800,000 Americans have simply "given up," on finding a job and have exhausted their unemployment benefits (these persons are conveniently omitted from the unemployment rate).

3. In a sign that things ARE NOT getting better, December was the worst month, since the so called "recession" began. (Telegraph U.K.)

4. Compared to the 2001 recession, when America lost 2% of it's jobs, this "recession" has already resulted in over 5% of jobs being lost. (My Budget 360)

5. The percentage of Americans ages 16 to 24 without a job is a staggering 13% lower than it was 10 years ago. (Business Week)

These simple but silent facts are indicative of an economy that is anything but on the mends. If the trend continues, and there is no reason to think that it will not, we are about to witness something much worse.

Despite the excessive spending that has taken place in the past 10 years, the current administration along with the Democratically controlled Congress insists on spending more and more money. While main street is starting to realize that something just isn't right, our government continues to propose outrageous spending packages that will only benefit special interest.

The average American is perfectly aware of simple economics, if you are in debt, you have to curb spending, you save money and pay down your debt. The government on the other hand, continues to suggest more spending. Anyone with enough sense to lick a postage stamp knows full well that this so called cure will not work and furthermore, it doesn't even make good NONSENSE!

Cap and Trade and AEP

Did you know that AEP (American Electric Power) uses more coal than any other consumer in the Western Hemisphere? Considering the fact that coal is the most CO2 intensive source of electricity, you would think that AEP would be opposed to Cap and Trade legislation. Think Again!

In September of 2009, the president, chairman and CEO of AEP issued a public letter of support for the American Clean Energy and Security Act. On the surface this would appear to be an excellent PR move, but more importantly than that, it was an excellent financial move on behalf of AEP.

Under President Obama's Cap and Trade proposal, the federal government will establish an infrastructure that will assign carbon credits to existing businesses, factories, corporations etc. A company will be able to trade any unused credits on the carbon stock market and benefit financially. If a company needs additional credits, they will have to purchase these credits on the same market, and therefore be able to exceed or meet their demand for carbon emissions. As absurd as the entire scheme is, it pales in comparison to what the average joe citizen does not know about the infrastructure.

The government quietly withholds from the public one startling fact about the credits, approximately 85% of these credits will be FREE! What does this mean? The free credits will be distributed to existing businesses, such as AEP, therefore, the actual cost of the "free" credits will be transferred to the consumer. In addition to consumers biting the bullet for big business, companies like AEP, will be forced to build new infrastructure, to capture emissions, which in turn will drive the cost of their product (electricity) even higher. The consumer loses on both fronts.

In order to simplify this situation a bit more, consider this. The government is going to "hand out" FREE credits to existing corporations. These same corporations can then trade these credits on a carbon stock market and make even more money. It would be sort of like someone giving you a stock portfolio with 100's of shares in fortune 500 companies, FOR FREE, and then allowing you to turn around and sell those stocks for a profit. Who wouldn't want to participate in a program like that?

Interestingly enough, any new business or up and coming corporations would have to purchase their credits on this phony stock market as well as develop any new mandated infrastructure, making it very difficult for them to move into a competitive market. The companies with the most lobbyist, and largest financial contributions to campaigns will be the companies that benefit from this boondoggle. The federal government in turn will help eliminate their competitors and grant them greater control of their segment of industry. This is commonly called Corporate Fascism!

Finally, allow me to explain a few things about the upcoming rate increases. Most people are opposed to the constant demand for an increase in rates from such entities as AEP. Presently, companies like AEP are permitted to make a slim margin of profit from utility sales. But, under the Cap and Trade program, these companies will be "forced," through legislation, to make changes in infrastructure. They will have to figure out new ways to trap and reduce carbon emissions. When an industry becomes regulated in this manner, the federal and state government, then permits that company to increase rates to pay for these "forced" changes. The only problem is once the rate increases, it never decreases. Thus allowing AEP, or companies like them, to increase the cost of their products. Now, you know why AEP supports these "forced" regulations.

Bottom line, Cap and Trade is exactly what AEP wants. Why? It will make them richer, and it will eliminate the competition. Anyone that knows anything about competition knows that without it the consumer suffers. If this legislation is not stopped, every aspect of our lives will be altered and changed in ways we can only begin to imagine. Cap and Trade is not just another piece of legislation, it is a power move aimed at limiting individual liberty and merging corporations and government.
